Dustin DeMars

Dustin played his college ball as a shortstop for SUNY Broome in the Southern Tier of New York state.

The majority of his professional career was spent in Latin America where he had the opportunity to learn from notable coaches such as Luis Natera, Mako Oliveres and Benito Camacho. His last season was in 2017 with Freseros San Quintin in Mexico.

More recently, Dustin spent the last four years working with the Chicago Dogs in Rosemont, IL.

He enjoys teaching defense, especially infield and catching, as well as hitting.

Chris Wido

Chris Wido is currently the assistant baseball coach and recruiting coordinator at Morton College in Cicero, IL. He primarily works with the pitchers and catchers. In addition to recruiting incoming freshman, he also assists his graduating sophomores in their transition to 4 year programs. In just two years, he has helped 22 graduating sophomores sign with 4 year programs. Wido also has previous coaching experience with the Illinois Indians and Addison Braves summer collegiate teams.

Wido began his college playing career as both a catcher/pitcher at Morton College, where he was a two-time All Illinois Skyway Collegiate Conference selection. After graduating from Morton College, Wido signed to NCAA DI Chicago State University, where he graduated with a Bachelor of Art’s degree in psychology.


Mike Shevlin

Coach Shevlin played as a catcher/ infielder at Robert Morris University. Prior to that, he played for the Windy City Prospect’s collegiate team in the Metro Collegiate League of Illinois for several years.

After playing for Coach Dustin DeMars and in college, Shevlin began his coaching career for the Windy City Prospects. Now entering his 4th year coaching youth and high school teams, Shevlin works with player’s of all ages and specializes in catching, hitting, fielding and defense.

Peter Sikaras

PeterSikarasPeter Sikaras is a 15 year veteran of professional baseball, and currently a scout for the Chicago White Sox. He was drafted by the Arizona Diamondbacks. He reached AAA as well as playing in the prestigious Arizona Fall League.

Peter is a great pitching coach who can work with players on:

  • Improving his velocity while maintaining control
  • Understanding the mental side of pitching
  • Refining mechanics
  • Pitchers fielding
  • Pitchers Conditioning

James Reeves

James Reeves was drafted by the Yankees in 2015 out of the 10th round. The left-hander is from South Carolina and went to college at The Citadel where he started and was awarded Southern Conference pitcher of the year.

During his off season, Reeves is a regular pitching coach for the Windy City Prospects high school travel team, and is also available for private lessons.
